Latex items are coated with a powder, which gives them that soft look, and keeps the leaves & petals from sticking to each other. Over time the powder wears off. Some people like the look, but if you prefer the lighter, softer look, simply recoat your flowers with talcum powder. To do this, lightly sprinkle the powder over the flowers. Then use a soft, dry paintbrush to spread and brush off the excess powder.
